Holding a workshop on micro/nanofabrication technology at Sharif University of Technology

A specialized workshop on "Micro/Nanofabrication" was held at Sharif University of Technology from February 5 to 7, 2024, with the participation of distinguished professors and experts in this field. This workshop, which was organized by the university's Micro/Nanofab clean room, was widely welcomed by students, researchers, and those interested in the field of semiconductors and micro/nanometer technologies.

Presence of distinguished professors and experts
In this workshop, professors and researchers from prestigious universities and leading international companies presented their scientific materials and experiences. The following are among the instructors of this course:

Dr. Alireza Moshefq – Professor at Sharif University of Technology

Dr. Nima Arjmandi – Graduate of IMEC Research Center with experience working at Intel and Samsung

Dr. Asadollah Kalantarian – Professor at Sharif University of Technology and graduate of Stanford University, with experience working at Intel, IBM and SanDisk

Dr. Ali Khademi – Technical Director of Sharif University of Technology Micro/Nanofab Cleanroom, with experience working at NRC

Dr. Mehdi Ganji – Graduate of the University of Arizona, with experience working at Intel and Western Digital

Visit to the Cleanroom

One of the interesting parts of this workshop was a visit to the Sharif University of Technology cleanroom, during which the participants were introduced to advanced equipment and manufacturing processes at the micro and nano scales. Also, some of the practical steps of the fabrication process, including layer deposition and dry stripping, wet stripping and photolithography, were explained to the visitors by Engineer Afshin Nasiri, an expert in the central cleanroom of Sharif University of Technology.

Widely Accepted and Effective Workshop
The workshop was attended by a large number of interested students and researchers and received positive feedback from the participants. Many participants considered this course a valuable opportunity to learn about new technologies and gain practical experience in the field of micro and nanofabrication.

Due to the high acceptance, the organizers of this workshop have planned to hold similar courses in the future. Interested parties can refer to the following link for information about upcoming courses:
