The Laboratory Network Manager for Strategic Technologies under the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy announced the allocation of subsidies to graduate students and faculty members for utilizing the services of network member centers during the spring season.
According to the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network news outlet, Reza Asadi-Fard, the Network Manager, emphasized that one of the primary goals of the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network is to foster and enhance effective research and provide better access for researchers and innovators to high-quality laboratory services. He stated, "Creating a favorable environment for better access to high-quality laboratory equipment and services for researchers, academics, and technology enthusiasts, along with increasing the efficiency of existing infrastructure and equipment in laboratories and research centers across the country, is the main focus of the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network under the Vice-Presidency for Science."
He added that the laboratory network offers subsidies for laboratory services to various target groups, including graduate students, university faculty members, and eligible researchers.
Regarding the amount of subsidy for university faculty members and graduate students for the current spring season, Asadi-Fard mentioned, "According to the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network's resolutions, a special subsidy of 40 million rials with a 50% discount on laboratory services has been allocated for faculty members and graduate students."
Asadi-Fard noted that this subsidy became active and usable for the beneficiaries from April 14th at 9:00 AM. He stated, "Feedback from research centers, laboratories, and research institutes across the country, as well as opinions from graduate students, university faculty members, and researchers who have benefited from the network's seasonal subsidies, indicate a boost in effective research, increased efficiency of laboratory equipment and services, and facilitated interaction between laboratory service providers and users. Therefore, continuing to provide laboratory subsidies with a 50% discount up to 40 million rials in the spring of 2024 aims to support the growth and enhancement of capable laboratories and the development of cutting-edge and practical research."
Asadi-Fard emphasized that applicants for seasonal subsidies need to be members of the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network's customer club to receive their subsidies. He continued, "All target groups must visit the customer club's website at my.labsnet.ir to register and complete the membership process, and from April 14th at 9:00 AM, upload the necessary documents."
The Laboratory Network Manager highlighted that members of the customer club could access a wide range of laboratory services nationwide. He stated, "With over 1,720 member laboratories and research centers, the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network offers more than 156,000 laboratory services to students, researchers, university faculty members, inventors, technologists, and innovators in all 31 provinces and 164 cities across the country."
